Introduction to French Literature!
Bonjour, welcome to BC Youth French!
In today’s world, having a second language in your pocket is an incredibly useful skill to have. With the help of our volunteers, we offer two different classes to introduce you to the world of the French language.
We currently offer a beginner and advanced class. Our beginner class is on Fridays at 5-6 p.m., and our advanced class is also on Fridays, at 4-5 p.m.
In our Beginner class, students will learn the basics and build a strong foundation in French. This class is suitable for students with little to no prior knowledge of the language.
In our Advanced class, students will further their experience with the language and build up their proficiency in both verbal and non-verbal aspects. A variety of topics will be covered, including reading out loud, grammar, and practicing fluency.
Both classes will be taught using various materials, including presentations, videos, practice questions, interactive games, and more. Whether you are looking to learn a new language, improve your skills, or just have fun, our classes are an excellent place to start!

My name is Kairos Chan, and I am a student attending McMath secondary school. My current hobbies include playing video games, playing piano, and listening to music. Some other things I enjoy learning include geography, history, music-related topics, and linguistics. I have been learning French since I was in kindergarten and I have also had the chance to visit Quebec to practice my French in 2019. Other languages I can speak include English and Cantonese. As for my experience, I have volunteered at churches, at a food processing plant, and at two year-end concerts for my piano school. In addition, I have been working at Soft Peaks since August 2021.
