My name is Cathy Liu, a student studying at Steveston-London Secondary School in Richmond, BC. While I use my spare time to read novels, I also enjoy watching movies, drawing, swimming, skating and skiing. In school, I like science, math and history. I can speak Mandarin very well, so I believe that if my students don’t really understand English, I can help them! I have been drawing since I was a child, but I did not regard drawing as my hobby. I started to like drawing when I was in Grade 6. Why did I suddenly like painting? It is because one day, I saw a very beautiful drawing on the Internet. As soon as I saw this drawing, I wanted to try to draw a picture by myself. At the beginning, the drawings I drew were not pretty at all, but I liked my own drawings at that time; I continued to draw. Time passed slowly, and my drawings improved. I am able to draw great sketches and animations. I also learn watercolour from online tutorials at home. Now I am learning to paint oil paintings.
Hi, my name is Charlie Du, and I am currently a student studying at Steveston-London Secondary School. During my spare time, I like to draw. I think doing art can reduce my mental stress and strengthen my imagination. I learned sketching and water painting ever since I was interested, and I’m still learning right now! My favourite subject

My favourite subjects are math and art. I believe that math can help me think faster and art can help me think further. During other unoccupied time, I like to do some sports, such as playing basketball and jogging. I’m a friendly person, I like to make friends. The interesting thing is that sometimes, I will be shy to have some conversations, but I still like to talk with other people. My dream is to become a great artist who can give people happiness and hope. I want to devote my life to society and try my best to help others.
Hi I'm Kara Jia, a student attending Steveston-London Secondary School. One of my strengths is that I can speak three languages fluently: English, Mandarin, and Cantonese!
