10,000 Kind Signatures & Words for Neurodivergent, Together We Write Kindness (2025-2026)

MindLab

  •  MindLab is a youth-oriented department focusing on psychology, neuroscience, and mental health to help young people understand the mind, brain, and wellbeing. Through evidence-informed learning and experiences, MindLab supports youth in exploring how the brain works, gaining psychological insight, and building mental resilience for daily life. It promotes curiosity, self-awareness, and practical understanding. Programs are designed to be accessible and youth-centered.

Exploring Psychology

  • Through psychology, we look at how people think, feel, and behave, drawing on research to make sense of everyday experiences. From emotions and relationships to learning and identity, MindLab approaches psychology in ways that are thoughtful, practical, and grounded in science.

Exploring Neuroscience

  • MindLab explores how the brain works, from neural processes to brain–behaviour connections. We translate complex neuroscience research into clear, accessible ideas that help readers better understand cognition, emotion, and human behaviour.

Exploring Mental Health

  • We approach mental health with care, clarity, and evidence-based knowledge. MindLab aims to reduce stigma, encourage open conversations, and provide reliable insights that support well-being, resilience, and self-understanding.

Awareness and Advocacy

  • During Autism Awareness Month, MindLab highlights topics related to autism and neurodiversity through discussions, outreach efforts, and awareness-building initiatives. These activities aim to encourage respectful dialogue, social understanding, and youth engagement around inclusion and mental health.
  • Through its academic, experiential, and community-oriented approach, MindLab supports exploring psychology not only as an area of knowledge, but as a way to better understand people, communities, and the broader social world.
